Review: Urban Dollkiss Easylooks Soft Lipstick

wpid-20150808_115350.jpgBrand: Urban Dollkiss
Product: Easylooks Soft Lipstick
Shade: 09
Cost: about 5,000 – 6,000 won at full price.
Purchased: Urban Dollkiss in Myeongdong, Seoul.

First impression: So this is a brand I’ve only seen in Korea, which is quite surprising since they seem to have a bit of a pinup theme going on with their branding. It’s budget friendly and appears to be of a decent quality overall so far. You might be able to find their products online through retailers or sites like Ebay, but their own website that I linked to above is all in Korean.
The lipstick itself appears to be a pretty standard pink lipstick. It’s nice but won’t blow your mind. I picked it up because I didn’t have any pink lipsticks and didn’t want to spend too much on one, plus that I wanted to try this brand I’d never heard of.
It applies well, it’s rather opaque and the colour would look flattering with most skin tones. It has a nice candy scent to it that isn’t too overwhelming but gives the product some extra sass. It stays on ok and seems fairly durable, you might need to reapply it a few times throughout the day but nothing extreme. A good but not amazing lipstick. Enjoy the photo of my very tired face, it shows the colour pretty well though.

Packaging: Standard black plastic rectangular packaging. It’s lightweight, easy to work with, and doesn’t appear to have any issues with the cap. Again, solid but nothing special.wpid-20150808_115404.jpg

Usage: You apply it to your lips. I assume you know how to do that.

Value for money: Really good. This is in the same price group as the cheapest brands you can find in Australia but it doesn’t feel like it. It feels more like it belongs in the same category as Loreal and Maybeline rather than Essence. There’s a decent amount of product and it’s of a pretty good quality.

Would I purchase this again? If I’m ever in Seoul again I’ll make sure to try a lot more things from Urban Dollkiss, I’m just not a massive user of pink lipstick. I might buy a few different shades but I don’t see myself dying to replace this product when I’ve used it up either.
